There had already been ad-hoc swimming pool-, baths- and spa-sections within the Association, from which the members of the Committee were appointed. The major task of the Committee was to unify the qualification-system previously developed for part-fields, and to launch the qualification-process and to maintain the operation of the system. The members of the Committee are professionals who work in baths, and who can form a comprehensive position about the qualification of baths with unifying their experiences from separate areas. The Committee defined and then the Assembly Meeting of the Hungarian Baths Association accepted the proposal for a qualification system for baths (based on trial-qualifications), and the documents of the qualification in 2001. Based on its criteria - with acknowledging the relevant laws -, the qualification offers an evaluation to the guest of the range of services offered by the bath and of their quality. The qualification's point-system is of great help for the baths, since as a result, it becomes clear, which areas need to be developed if the baths aim at getting into a higher category of qualification. We believe that professional qualification - besides the marketing work planned for the upcoming period - will tell a lot more to the guests about the services, than the lately so frequently used "trendy" forms of qualifications.
